How can I tell my mom that my friend's mom is pregnant, without my mom thinking she's irresponsible?

You need to be a bit careful in telling her since she has already had the negative thought of your friend’s mom. However, I think what happens to your friend’s mother absolutely has nothing to do with your mom. And your mother knows this. What your mother is afraid of is their influences on you. You can tell your mom about your friend’s mom before you go to school, in a light conversation and try to avoid having long conversation so that she does not have a chance to give her comment on this other mom.

well it’s mostly because im going over her house today.. and it’s just one of those family’s that are close to ME but not to my other family members.. and I guess ill just wait until her mom picks me up later today.. she can tell my mom herself :P. I just realized Im getting worked up for nothing hahaha

You will find that you will never be able to choose what one person thinks about another. Their are many hidden agenda’s behind another person’s thought (jealousy, arrogance etc). Just tell your mother the news and forget about the rest. Don’t kill yourself if she thinks it bad. That’s life. You obviously seem to be someone who tries to please everyone and although that is a valuable quality, you need to accept that someone will always be of a different view or not be pleased. Always remember that nobody is perfect and although you may think they are, other people will not agree.
