Birds molt…dogs shed…LOL.

Yes, all dogs do it…spring, when the days begin to get long…and in the Fall, when the days begin to lengthen…It’s very definate at these two time of year. I don’t know about Shar Pei’s, but I can tell you that German Shepherd (German Shedders), shed every day of their lives…BAD.

Twice, in the spring and the fall. However, dogs constantly shed their hair all year round - moulting is where they shed it, and after they’ve finished shedding their coat is noticabley shorter (their summer coat) or longer (their winter coat). Remember; your shar pei will shed hair all year round, but not necessarily moult.
