Mental Paranoia

Hello, I am BethAnn.

I have been having a very odd problem for about the past two months or so. Keep in mind that I do not take any types of drugs to maybe cause this:

I am very paranoid and I see things that aren’t normally there. I have odd feelings when with people, it can even my my own family, I feel that they are going to come up behind and hurt me in a variety of ways; the thoughts change through a minor or major subject. I can hear things at night if I am alone or with someone else in my bedroom. Sometimes I cannot think clearly about reality and I feel as if I am in a world where nothing matters, hurts, or eve exists. I cannot handle my emotions; I tend to let things fly or take them to a high extreme.

I think I may have some kind of mental disability. I brought it up to my mom and she wasn’t sure what it could be. Not horror movies or books. I can not think of anything that may be causeing this.

If you know anything on this, please let me know. I feel that I need help beyond myself since this problem hasn’t changed nor went away.

hey, this sounds like paranoid schizophrenia. I really admire you for wanting to get help. Your doctor is your best bet to getting the help you deserve

Answer #2

Well it is possible you have a mental disorder (schizophrenia, bipolar, etc…) I would really talk to a doctor to get a full diagnosis, it is not possible for us to do it online…

Answer #3

Andyburton - a mental disorder is simply another term for mental illness…

Answer #4

andyburton, I don’t think that it is helpful to tell someone that if they aren’t caring for things of importence that they aren’t godly.

your medical advice is not always correct.

I agree with ty. please seek the advice of a physician. there is no one on this site that is qualified to make a diagnosis from the information you supplied.

Answer #7

it sounds like a personality disorder, schizophrenia, bi polar, you could be severely depressed, or you could eve have a bad reaction to a medication you are taking, which is highly common in anti psychotics and anti depressants,

I had something close to this happen to me, howeever I found out my body was reacting bad a medicine called xanax.

I am currently taking a medicine called seroquille(spelling?) which is an anti psychotic used to treat schizo and bi polar

I’m taking it for bi polar and it’s helped me so far,

so I trust that if you find a doctor that the correct medicine and therapy or maybe even just therapy will have your poor feelings gone, or under complete control.

good luck!

Answer #8

well I understand your problem because I go threw the same thing except I don’t see things that are not there and I was like this since I was little . honestly you can only control this. seeing a therapist or a sykiatrist(I no its spelt wrong) will help you and if it was in the last two months maybe something that was tradgic happened maybe he|she will understand whyyou are having these problems
