How long do you have to study medicine before working in the medical field?

Answer #1

4 years Pre-Medical Course + 4 years General Med Course + 2 years Specialization Course

There you go. Try studying somewhere in Asia. Education cost a lot cheaper there. And they’re actually pretty good, too.

Answer #2

Depends where you study. Here in NZ, it will take seven years, assuming you gain entry to med from your first year of study (health science first year, which counts as the first of the seven years). If you dont get entry from your first year, you then need to get a bachelors degree to try for graduate entry. Your second and third years are at university, fourth and five year are in a teaching hospital, sixth year is your trainee intern year, after which you graduate. Seventh year is your internship year after which you are registered and can work as a doctor

Answer #3

With how hesitant you were about getting your GED idk if your going to have the patience or money to get through medical school, it will cost you hundreds of thousands od dollars and will take you about 8 years or so.

Answer #5

Depends on which country you study in. Generally it is either 8 or 9 years to become a general practitioner. And then if you want to specialize it is usually a further 4 years.

Answer #6

it depends on what specific type of doctor you wanted to be xD as an orthopedic, its somewhat like 8 years :) my Fathers brother went to school for 8 years 4 years Biology and 4 year Orthopedic. not sure whats the name of that course xD

and oh! try somewhere in asia! its a lot cheaper and GOOD! I suggest in the philippines :) Manila Or Cebu. I know one @ CEBU. Its called CDU or Cebu Doctors University :)

Answer #7

4 years Pre-Medical Course

  • 4 years General Med Course
  • 2 years Specialization Course and then about 3 years in residency :)
Answer #8

In the U.S. it’s 8 years of school and then an additional 2-4 years of residency depending on what you’re going to specialize in. I’d think about a different field. The pre-requirements for most medical schools includes calculus and physics. If you’re struggling with high school math, getting through calculus is improbable to say the least.

Answer #9

in USA its 8+2/4 for completion of specialization in India its 4+5+2 for specialization
