Littering...

I know there is a fine for littering($500.00) here in Mn. If a person gets caught throwing out something “natural” out of their car window for example, an apple core, some piece of food ect…does it still count as littering? Can you still get in trouble for it? Just curious…I many times on purpose throw out food like that outside, just to help feed any birds, animals…

The fact that it’s an organic waste as opposed to an artificial waste actually holds no bearing under the legal definition of littering - it is still considered littering and can get you a ticket. This is enforced quite aggressively where composting is a common thing.
