What can the police do about this?

Ok. So my so called friend told this guy that I suck d*ck and I don’t.

So he told me what she said and he said that he’s going to tell everyone and he said he had his friend send fwds about it and his other friend is telling people. And they all go to my school and I feel like I’m going to cry because I litterally like don’t go out the house(Only down the street to my friends house) and thats all. I’m not bad or anything and it makes me want to like move out of state because of it. Now if I called the police about it what could they do?

The police can do nothing. Look, sweetie, things like this are just an unfortunate part of growing up. The best thing to do is remain confident and just ignore stupid stuff like this. No one who spreads or hears the rumor really thinks that you suck d**k, they’re just giggling at it because that’s what kids do, and if you let it blow over, next week they’ll find some other asinine thing to giggle at. I know it’s super hard to realize the big picture here, but the more you react to it, the more power you give it. Besides, keep in mind that this kind of crap doesn’t last for the rest of your life. A little after high school, most people get a reality check and realize that that kind of stuff doesn’t cut it in the real world. You’ll be fine, hon, just stick it out and be a good student. That’s what really matters.

Personally I think they will do something about it you no that kid who kamided suaside because kids called him a fag and gay and he died I am almost surten the police will do something because it sounds like harassment to me!

Chances are they wont do anything, it isn’t a crime to start a rumor about someone even if it’s false. They will just tell you to ignore them and blah blah blah… I know, easier said than done, but it’s really your only option. It’s times like this you realize who your true friends are.

The cops probably cant do anything. But bullying is something the school can do something about. You’re going to have to get your parents involved, schools only pay attention if the parents make a big deal out of things. Uhm, but seriously, it’s not the end of the world. So a couple of idiots are saying stupid things. Not only will they move on if you let it go (and dont make a big deal out of it), but no one’s going to remember in a few weeks. But you always have the option of reporting it.
