How to convince my parents for a lip ring?

Piercing your lip just isn’t very classy. Depending on your parents, where you live, what your parents do for a living, etc., it may not be appropriate. I know when you are young, you want what you want right now, but you are still a child (sorry, but you are), and you have to do what your parents tell you. Hopefully by the time you are 18, you will realize what you want to do in life and you may not even have the urge to poke holes in yourself. :)

im 15 and this is what I did be realy good for a while and act realy deprssed then when they ask you whats wrong just keep saying nothing then finnaly after the third time they ask you say you feel like they dont let you express your indivisuality and your feeling and if you could just get a snake bit(two bottom lip rings) you would feel like you have more control over your life and you would be happier

not sure, but im trying to let my mom let me get my tongue pierced.. so if you come up with something good to say let me in on it ;) thankss.

It says your 14 just wait intil your 18. its not that long.

Welll…u could talk to them about the good points on having a lip piercing… maybe they will aprove?

im in the same situation. And I’m just gonna give my parents a lot of good reasons why they should let me do this. Actually. DONT DO THIS, YOU’LL REGRET IT. Just yesterday, I pierced my own lip. And it backfired. and now I look dumb. So don’t ever pierce your own lip. But just give them more reasons than they ever thought you could, tell them that it’s your body, and that you wont make it look flashy or stupid. tell them that you’ll make it look classy, but explain yourself too. :] I really hope it works for you. good luck!!

I tried forever convincing my parents to let me get snakebites. I even tried the whole “but every one has them.” but basically you just have to list all the good aspects about them. I’ll make more friends, they’ll make me cooler, I’ll get the smaller ones, I’ll just get studs, blah blah..

You could even offer to pay for them yourself, and show responsibility to prove you wont let it get infected.

ask them if they ever did something without their parents approval. odds are the answer is yes. you just need to think of the logic behind your argument before you present your case. the fact is they were teens once too and they most likely did millions of things their parents wouldnt approve of. if you know of any such cases I would include that in your argument as well. if you can present evidence of their stupidity to back up your case youre much more likely to sway their opinions.
