What was life like for Jews in France right before WWI?

ive been looking everywhere but all the links i can find are either about the “free zone” in france or about world war two. does anyone have a few answers or even a link to where i can find some facts? that would really help a lot:)

Answer #1

In the 1900’s conditions for jews improved and an influx of jews arrived in France, the first world war halted immigration and jews did fight for france in WWI there is more info here

There’s a bit more info (but not much) on the time period of interest to you here:

For more than that, you might have to go to actual Jewish history books (gasp!) {:^)
