How to leave home at 17?

in texas can a 17 year old girl move out and leave the house without permission without getting in trouble with the law?

Answer #1

Its different and varies from state to state. This basically means that if the minor is in the state of Texas the legal age of emancipation is 17. In Alabama it is 19 and a court order can be ordered and the minor will be removed by the courts. They can either be placed back in the home or put in a juvi_home! Be very careful! The person or person that you move in with can be charged with kidnapping and spend time in jail. If your parents love you and take care of you just stay there until you are legal age. This way no ones in harms way.

Answer #5

well first of all… YES you can leave your home in Texas if you are 17! I did and no one can stop you because in Texas 17 is the legal age which you are considered an adult is 17! Don’t let people tell you otherwise cause that is the truth and in the Texas laws!!!

Second! Who is this girl^^^ are you even from Texas? Cause if your not and you don’t know the Texas law maybe you should stay off these forums… Take government honey.. Then go give people advise about laws..
