I want to move out and live with my aunt, is that possible?

I want to move out and live with my aunt because she can provide me with better education, food, ect. If my mom agrees with my descision could I move out? Or is there a law against it ?

Answer #1

go for it man you can choose who you can live wit there aint no law against it.. I lived with my aunt ince nothing happend.

Answer #2

There are lots of laws that make it all confusing, but you could have them go to court and have your mother sign an agreement. I would strongly recommend moving in with her, because it seems that you would be much better off there, than at home. You also need to think of your future. If you would be better supported with your aunt, then that would be a better future for you-better schooling, health, ect.

Answer #3

Since you posted anonymously, we don’t know your age or country. Assuming you’re in the U.S. then your mom would have to sign a limited Power of Attorney that gives your aunt the authority to care for you and make decisions affecting your health and welfare. That way, if there was a medical emergency, your aunt would have the authority to authorize medical treatment for you.

Answer #4

If your mom agrees then there’s no problem with it… Your aunt would become your legal guardian…
