Call whatever company handles your phone service and explain the situation. I know that landline companys have policies and procedures in place to stop this kind of thing. Verizon cell phone service/company also has ways of dealing with this type of thing as well. Verizon and alltel recently merged so if alltel is your carrier they should be able to help you as well. If you have a full blown stalker problem, blocking his number may not be the best thing to do as police will need records of his calls if things get out of hand in the near future. Keep in mind that even if the number he is calling you from is a landline number, he can easily buy a track or disposable phone with prepaid minutes at walmarts. If you want this guy to stop calling you, then you need to tell him that and I would highly suggest you make a recording of that call or have the phone company do it for you. If you are talking about a cell phone then you can tape yourself telling him not to call you on any type recorder and you can also record him if you put your cell on speakerphone. Most phone companies will take action if you tell them that you have already told him not to be calling you. If this guy keeps on calling after you have the phone company block him, it is best to have EVERYTHING documented because the next step in cases like this is a restraining order. Your very first step will be to talk to your phone company and find up what your options are as they vary from state to state. Good Luck!!
