How can I not be jealous of my friends? I try really hard but I still am....

I have the same probblem, my BEST BEST BEST friend has EVERYTHING in the world, no joke, it makes me soooooooo mad I hate it! And my cousin said that friendships shouldn’t be like that so I just try my hardest to look past everything she has and I don’t and see the true friendship we share :)))

Hmm. This is a tough one. The thing is, it isnt really about them. What they have doesnt take away from what you have. And it’s not like there’s a limited supply of whatever it is. Whether your friends are pretty, popular, smart, talented, it doesnt take away from you. Honestly, jealousy is never about other people. Because if you sat down to compare yourself to others, there will always be others who are smarter, more talented, prettier and more popular. It’s about feeling adequate in yourself. So, try working more on yourself, and worrying less about what they have that you feel you dont. And dont feel too bad. We all feel envy once in a while.

I’m the same. My friends have everything - yet they don’t see it. They have parents that love them very much, which is the most important thing. I lost my dad when I was 11 and my mum is never around. She is either at work or out with friends, leaving me by myself all the time. That’s why I envy my friends, and sometimes get angry at them because they don’t see what they have xx
