How would you know if your IUD has moved or is not in place?

ok so I’ve read that even if u have the IUD and it moves you can still get pregnant. my question really is, would u feel it if it moves? would u feel pain if it moves?

Pain is a sign, but is not always present. You’ll need to do an internal check - see if the string is longer or shorter than it should be, and feel the cervix to see if the end of the IUD is poking through (your partner should also be able to notify you if he feels anything during sex). Any unusual or uncommonly heavy bleeding or discharge can indicate slippage.
