Is my dad going to Hell for this?

My dad cheated on my mom with two girls. One went to church with me & my dad, and he’s been lying about going to church for God. (I think?) Is he going to hell for this?

Answer #1

Adultry is a sin - we all sin - unless a persons sins are forgiven through accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (Salvation) in life, they cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven - this is what God’s word, the Bible makes clear - Salvation is freely offered to anyone: http://www.jesus2020.com/video.html - all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Answer #2

I don’t believe in hell, so I don’t think he will be going to hell.

I believe in reincarnation, so I think there is a possibility that he may choose to redeem himself in a future incarnation.

Answer #3

Hell doesn’t exist. Your dad won’t be going there, so don’t worry about it.

Answer #4

he might go to hell if he doesnt repent what he has done(ask god for forgivness) and never do it again but if he does that he can be forgived and start over

Answer #5

if he doesnt go to confession then…maybe. in the end its up to God to decide. but he needs to go to confession. Gods forgives anything and everything

Answer #6

He might if there is a Hell. I don’t know if there is a Hell or a Heaven so I can’t say. However, I think he might can get out of it if he asks for forgiveness.

It reminds me about the saying ‘If a tree falls in the woods and there’s no one there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

Answer #7

I think the right question is. should you tell it to your mom? thats in case if she knew already..

Answer #8

Answer #13

I guess I should explain my answer a little better. for me, in my religion there isn’t just “hell and heaven” when you die. it’s more complex than that. the things your dad has done definetly are not good things. I think we call can agree with that. in my religion, your dad would not go to absolute “hell” (which is reserved for the absolute worst of people). your dad would go to heaven. BUT—there are different “levels” of heaven, if you will. your dad would not be admitted to the highest level. so he would still go to “heaven”, but he should be aiming for the highest level, not the bottom. there are many more benefits or blessings for being worthy of the highest level.

I would encourage your dad to go through the repentance process, which means more than just feeling sorry or just asking for forgiveness. it’s making amends, and feeling actual guilt for the sins comitted. it’s hard.

like I said, this is my religion, so if you don’t believe in my religion, than this probably doesn’t mean much to you, but it’s an answer to your question :)
