Is listening to music when you sleep bad?

I have a habit of listening to my MP3 player before I go to sleep, and then fall asleep while its still playing all night. But lately, it seems like I’m losing my hearing because the volume that I used to set it on is too low for me to hear, and I set the volume higher. I’m afraid of going deaf and I dunno what to do…

Turn it down… Actually, do that and also, I don’t think music can hurt you but loud, agressive, head-banging stuff might lead to a nightmare or two. Listen to something light and low, easy listening.

You probably should try to get out of that habit mate- thats like over 7+ hours of non stop music- your poor ears! You most definately can damage your hearing like that and from what you say its seems your hearing is already taking some impact. If you really can’t sleep without your music, then try to make your self press the stop button or take the head phones out just as you feel yourself nodding off! Slowly but surely you’ll ease off it! Don’t worry you wont go deaf if you just start cutting down a little bit and making sure your not sleeping with it on you’ll be fine- GOODLUCK! Let us know how you go :)

Also, try using a cheapo mp3 player that only plays for an hour or so.
