Is it ok to still perform it?

I found another one as well, but again not sure, its from a musical, so could act out the words instead of sing. The monologues have to be from a play, not a book or film. I have to write a diary on my work from half term, but feel as though if I show her an undecided diary, she may be mad. She shouldnt as shes really nice, but want to get a good grade so bad. I want to persue acting next year and as a career.

I don’t think so,it shouldn’t be a problem particularly if it was written to be performed. To be safe (although I don’t think its not ok—ask your drama teacher) you should maybe find another monologue. My daughter’s acting coach, Chambers Stevens, has written 5 or 6 books of monologues. Each one is geared to age groups and appropriateness—books for kids, teenagers, all that. you can find anything in each book from 30 seconds and up, comedy and dramatic, male and female. The books are great, you might be able to find them in the school or public library. If not you can def order from book stores. Good luck!

I don’t think it’s really important either way - you will be judged on your performance, not on the monologue itself or who wrote it.
