Is it Normal to not wanting my parents to split up?

my experience is..my mom and dad got a divorce. My dad married a woman and she is mean. she also has a son, that’s older than me. He hurts me punches me and pokes me. My mom is going to marry a guy, and he has a daughter. Their moving in the house. I have so much more going on. I would do anything to go back in time and keep my parents from spliting up.

Of course this is normal - but as you get older you’ll start to accept the fact that they divorced for a reason.

Answer #2

It is natural for children to not want their parents to split up. It’s even natural that the child will blame their selves for the event. The issue, however, is out of your hands. Your parents no longer feel the same for each other & it’s better that they separate & find someone that meets their needs than to stay in a dead end relationship.

There may be obstacles for you to endure with your parents choice of spouses, but later on you'll realize that it is better that way.

Best of luck
