Is whatever hand you write with hereditary?

My son used his left when he was real young but now is a righty. I’m a righty his dad is a righty. My mom, I believe, is the only lefty that I know of in our immidiate family. It is hereditery. Lefty’s are just less common than righty’s

most of the time yeah… both my parents write with their right hand and I write with my right hand also. my friend, his dad is left handed and his mom is right… and he rights with his right hand. I think right handed is the dominant gene.

it depends… hold something in front of the child and see which hand they grab it with… that usually tells you I think

Mine wasn’t. both of my parents and both of my brothers are righty and I’m the only lefty.

He uses his left hand a lot when he colors or anything like that.
