Is it an eye infection?

My cat had kittens on April 29th. Of the five she had, four are still alive.

All four have opened their eyes completely. But I’ve noticed on of them isn’t able to open one eye anymore. Note, it HAS been able to open it before. There’s yellow gunk on the outside of the eye. We gently wash it off with warm water, but it still can’t open that eye much.

Could it be an eye infection? Is there anything I can do besides taking it to the vet?

Please help my poor kitten!

Answer #1

sounds like she has a upper respitory infection, very common in kittens and cats, she needs Clavamox drops, need to take her to a vet and have them put her on these antibotics, this type of infection can get very bad do research on URI on cats

Most things at pet stores aren’t safe for kittens under 12 weeks. He’s only like, 2 weeks.

I hope he’ll be okay too. He’s already got someone waiting to take him home in a few weeks!

then just keep cleaing its eyes untill you see the vet or go to a pet store and find some pet safe eye drops for the kitten

I hope it gonna be ok =[

See, we don’t have money for a vet. My dad’s out of work, and I’m not working yet. So it’ll be 2 or 3 weeks before I’ll have money to get it to the vet. And by then the infection (if it is one) could spread and the poor thing could die.

I dont think theres much you can do you dont really know what to do, just take it to the vet
