I got caught drinking a bottle of vodka and wine.

Caught drinking a bottle of vodka and wine by my dad – I’m 13. How do I get him off my back in the morning? (Teens answer please.)

Simply a Rose to brighten your day,         And maybe lessen the cares in your way;         And also, too, to help you to know,         That in knowing you, many others grow!

Sorry, you don’t. He, by nature and by law, is charged with taking care of you and bringing you up in the best way possible. He is looking out for your best interests, so don’t short change him.

Sit down and talk WITH him. Explain to him that you are sorry and that you will try to be more mature and responsible in the future.

Don’t be afraid to have serious Father - Daughter talks with him. You are his little girl (no matter how old you become) and he wants to help you be the best YOU that you can be.

(Sorry, again, I’m 67, not a teen, but I thought a little fatherly wisdom might be helpful.)

Uh, lets try saying ‘I was stupid and won’t do it again.’ Because your 13! Hell, maybe if you were in highschool and hanging out with a higher crowd, yeah, I’d expect that (It happened to me this year!) But 13?

Answer #5

ummm…I’m sorry that you made a bad choice, but he has every right to be on you about this. underage drinking is not ok. and you are so young. so…I’m not exactly a “teen” anymore, but I’m not ancient. take my advice…at least stay away from the alcohol tll you’re legal. it will do you loads of good.

accept the fact that your father has all the right in the world to be on top of you for doing this. he is your dad and only wants the best for you.

Answer #6

ummm admit to him you were wrong… but be very serious about it and make sure your sober.

Answer #7

tell him you just wanted to try it out, and that you felt pressurised (he might feel sorry for you..?).
