Why is my Shih Tzu humping?

Why is my adult male shih tzu all of a sudden humping his 7 month old son? This just started and he is panting and scratching at the puppy’s butt…

This is nothing bad one day the pup will let your dog know that it dosnt like it and then he wont bother t again.Also if your dog is not fixed that would help a lot!

This is pure and simple dominant behavior…it has nothing to do with sex. Go to the National Geographic site, and watch some Dog Whisperer clips…he deals with this behavior all the time…Really, there are a bunch of DW’s clips there…a good watch for anybody with a dog.

yeah its adomince sign my 7 month old female puppy does it to my 3 month old puppy so its totally domince nothing sexual!! :)

It’s nothing sexual! You’re adult is just trying to establish dominance over the puppy!

Although humping is a sexual thing, for dogs, cats ect-its also a sign of dominance.

My shitzu Kobe is 8 monthes and when he plays with my fiance he’ss wrap his arms around his arm and start humping LOLOL but I don’t know why they do this any advise to you would be advise to me.

I had a friend who had a shih tzu and he did that all the time to the other male cockapoo - it’s to show dominance.

I have a Shih tzu name chloe and she was just spayed, about two weeks later she bagan hummping my arm and I am wondering if there is somethingi can do to make her stop?
