how- would I get emancipated?

I have anger management and bipolar disorder. I am taking medication for it thought. but I want to get emancipated because I am more mentally stable without my family. when with them I tend to have more violent mood swings and more anger episodes. when seperated and out of their control I am more stable and think clearer. I am looking for a job to support myself and the other steps but I want to know if my reasoning for being emancipated is good enough btw I live in rhode island I have already look of our emancipation laws and I can handle the life style that I would be giving. would I be emancipated? would love answers from experieance indivisuals

cancan im not experience with the law over emancipation but the court wont let you be emancipated just because u “cant stand” your family. you show no sign of maturity.

you have to ba able to support yourself and b able to live and a stable inviorment. I got imancipated and I kept my grades up maybe had like one C in a class. I also had other family and friends and coworkers that came to court and told the jugde I was a very mature young adult. I was actually 16 whenit all happened. its a lot harder to live on your own. I am now 17 and though you may think ud be better off, you probably wouldnt be. there are so many expenses and things that can come up and ruin whta you think is a utopia of freedom. you need to think harder about what you want to do. plus your parents have to agree to lettng you get emancipated. and sorry but I don’t c that happening either, but if its rele what you want to do good luck.

I agree whit ty, Ypur underage, whit a disorder, and want to live your own life?? that is not going to happen, they want to keep you safe and I doughbt that livivng alone is an option for them, also meaby you can talk to them and say what is going on whit your family that is making you do all that and all, meaby you can come up whit a solution or meaby a plan to all this.

GOOD LUCK:)

I have no legal expertise, but in my opinion it is unlikely. If you’ve got a serious mood disorder, one that takes monitoring by medication, it is highly unlikely for a court to grant you an emancipation. Your best bet would be to try and get support from your psychiatrist, but I have serious doubts that any psychiatrist would support an emancipation of a teen with bipolar disorder. And any how, we really need to know exactly how you believe your family is dysfunctional and thus contributing to the mood swings.

Answer #4

I wanna get emancipated to cause I cant stand my family , mabey you could get your parent(s) so pissed off at you that they emancipate you, it might also help if you have some one willing to get you
