How to stop attacks

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knows how to stop anxiety attacks or what they are caused by? I keep getting them all the time and dont know why :(

To really deal with the core issues, you’d need therapy, perhaps in combination with medication, but try breathing into a paper bag, or splashing your face with water in the mean time… It’s supposed to help…

I have High anxiety. I used to have real bad attacks. I have learned to live with my anxiety, using a number of different tools. These include awareness. (It feels worse than it is.) When I am feeling like I cant breath I call someone who knows me pretty well and share with them what is going on. Therapy is good. Writing down your thoughts and feeling is also beneficial. Treat yourself. Run a bath, light some candles, put on some relaxing music. Talk to your doctor. I explained to mine that I wanted solutions other than mood - altering chemicals, because I am in recovery. I always keep that option, but for five years I have lived with my anxiety.

I have anxiety really bad. I was embarrassed for a while. but I got the courage to talk to my mom and we went to the doctors && I got perscribed medicine. it helped a lot.
