How to lose ten pounds?

Okay so I’ll introduce you to my life. Last year I was 145 pounds and during the course of the school year I lost 15-18 pounds. During the summer I was 128. I went back to school and I got down to 118. But now I shot back up to 124.

I am 5’9 and I really liked my petite figure at 118…so I was wondering if anyone could help me re-achieve this goal?

This is what I’ve started doing…again. I eat five meals a day, ranging from 210-265 calories. So that’s roughly 1000-1300 calories a day. I’m eating lots of protein, egg whites, protein bars, lentils, fish, chicken, yogurt, cheese…milk. I eat a lot of veggies…and fruits.

I want to be back down to 118 by Mid April, can you help me? Thank you.

the healthy weight for a woman who is 5’9” is 129 pounds (that’s the recommended weight). It’s fine to want to be a little under that, but be careful.

make sure you’re not skipping meals (this actually can cause weight gain because it slows your metabolism), but it sound like you’ve got a great diet plan going.

women (and men) usually have a threshold weight that is unhealthy (and difficult) to get under. Perhaps instead of trying to lose ten pounds try 5. your diet is as bare as it can be, exercise more and eat a little bit more (protein mostly, cause it burns well for exercise). keep in mind that muscle weighs a lot more than fat because it’s dense. You can be in great shape and be super thin and sexy even if the scale says you’re 10-15 pounds heavier than you look. that is NOT a bad thing.

don’t get too caught up in scales. go for how you look and how you feel.

other than that: don’t use salad dressing, no soda or juice (juice has just as many if not more calories even though it has vitamins) take a multivitamin, drink water, and mandyloo has some great suggestions for snacks up there ^^.

If you want to loose weight, I suggest you slow down on the protein, milk, and cheese. Those are going to cause you to gain weight.

-Make water your primary drink after breakfast - juice for breakfast -No fried foods - only grilled or baked -No Soda’s -Cut down the carbs (white foods) -Walk for an hour a day -Walk up and down stairs for 15 mintues a day

Some healthy food ideas and snacks:

-Take a banana and dip it in yogurt, freeze and eat. -Frozen grapes and berries -Low fat yogurt and jello -Use lettuce instead of bread - put a piece of turkey and small amount of mustard - wrap and eat. -Sliced bell peppers, dipped in cottage cheese and hot sauce -Air-popped popcorn -Rice cakes -Salads - no dressing, use vinegar instead -Freeze some orange juice - eat it like sorbet -Grilled Fish -Boiled Eggs - no yolks -Carrot Sticks and Hummus -Cherry Tomatos -Nuts, Legumes, Sunflower Seeds -Baby dill pickles -Tuna
