How to keep practicing wicca from your family?
I want to pratice wicca but I also what to keep it a secret from my mom, dad and brother. How can you do that?
If asked, explain that you are wanting to learn about other religons. It doesn’t mean that you are turning against them or their beliefs. You are young and should explore all the options. As for Wicca, it is an amazing way to live your life. Bless it be !
The easiest way would be to practie it at a friend’s house instead of your own home. If you ever get questioned about it, you can decide then whether to be open or simply deny deny deny.
You’re kidding right? Why do you want to be in a cult in the first place???
1st law of Physics: You can never hide anything from your parents, they’ll always find out. lol
Don’t hide it from them, be proud of your faith, everyone that disagrees with your choice may act a little weird at first but with time they hopefully will accept your choice and support you, you can’t be true to your faith if you hide it from everyone.
Ok its not a cult anymore that any other religion.
unfortuly your 16 and under age. this means your still under the care of your parents and if they dont want you to pratice wicca. as soon as you trun 18 though your free to “do as ye will” Im sorry that you need to hide it from them. you can always try to pratice in secret. your magick would be stronger that way anyway. But on the other hand try to explain your stand point and come to an understanding with your parents
so why do you want to be a Wiccan? what would happen if they found out you whated to be a wiccan?

whats wicca?
Merry meet!! ok I consider myself to be a wiccan, my mother does not approve and my family thinks im crazy, you can listen to these people here and choose to ignore me, but im living what your asking, I told my mom and she had me put into a mental hospital for a weekend so they could “evaluate” me. it sucks. it sucks that you have to hide your religion, and if you cant get over your parents disaproval then you might want to reconsider your religion. people in this world seem to think of wicca as witchcraft, dark, evil, devil worship. its not. the more you try to explain it, the more they think we are evil. but anyway, answer this, does everyone who believes in jesus go to church EVERY sunday? the answer is no. you dont have to practice I know you want to, I know I did, but for now, you should focus on researching the religion and get educated, the best witches are the ones that started out reading about the history of wicca. then slowly start with little things, praying, then candle magick, then elemental and spell casting for lack of a better word. just go slow. it will come to you in time, I’ve been practicing for about 4 years now so if you need anyone to talk to or need help with your parents or even questions about wicca, just ask. blessed be! o and remember the wiccan rede, if notthing more, follow that, it will guide you. my email is lovebug42092@yahoo.com good luck. merry meet merry part, and merry meet again.
(wicca)is THE 1ST religions there ever was WRONG, it’s not even a century old, however, it did stem from the original. Pantheism would be the first “religion”/Yes, Christians did steal the pagans’ solstices, equinoxes, days of festivities & converted them into their holly days. There should be any reason to hide, but unfortunately there is. you can be sent to the mental hospital for being a witch, wicca, pagan, or any kind of magick practitioner.
It's not hard to hide it as long as long don't make it. On Christmas(Winter Solstice/Yule) & Easter, you can celebrate your brains out since it origins is of the occult(You'ld just have to celebrate yule 2 days later), the other's just do a prayer or whatever you want, a simple prayer.
Don't be up front, just state you learned something from a friend & want their views on it or something if you want to get a clue of how your parents might react & tell them what you "learned". See how they react & then decipher if it's the right thing to tell them or not. But if you feel it's no yet the right time then keep it under wraps until you move out 1_~. Just do simple moon & candle magick, meditate, & certain herbal magick(which include incense)
Best of luck to you.
ok since they decided to put !fun mail me! instead of my email I will write it again. lovebug42092 @ yahoo . com obviously no spaces.
I have to do the same thing. It’s not easy to tell them because they think anyway except christian is wrong. They tell me I worship the devil which is not true! I am wiccan but I can’t tell anyone because they all freak out! the only one who knows is my one niece, she’s 3yrs younger than me and she wouldn’t tell anyone. I still have 4 more years at home and I have to hide everything in my room like my book of shadows, candles, and I have to make my own incense! it’s not hard to keep from them. they go to sleep and I make all my stuff and worship!
If you need to hide it from them, are there any woods (or other places where barely anyone goes) near you, because you could practice it there.
You could just tell them that you wanted to be Wiccan, and see how they react. Explain it to them, and make sure they see that you won’t come to any harm from practicing it. Make them see what Wicca really is, not the stereotypical “black magick, devil worship” image of Wicca.
for starters wicca IS NOT A CULT, it is THE 1ST religions there ever was.as a matter of FACT, the christian religions took ALL of our holidays and turned them around to suit their needs..you should not have to hide these thingsfrom your parents!!! but if you do you canjust go somewhere peacefull to pray, what is sad is that you won’t be able to celebrate the holidays the way they were ment to be..heres a funny one for you.I was a nonpratcing christian until my then 12yr. son got into wicca. I found all the stuff in his room, I took it long enough to read it.well that lead to thousads of books, and I learned sooo much then I chose for myself..you should not have to be ashamed of who you are hun..and just let me claify that wicca IS NOT witch craft..I am a wiccan, and my son is a witch..
