How to get my dog to stop being scared?

My 2 year old german sheperd is extemely scared of entering my house because she assumes that everytime she’s in, we’ll give her a bath (which we do sometimes) so she refuse to ever come in which is the reason why we never make her go inside the house unless it’s her bath time.

I did try just leering her in the house and play with her and let her roam around doing her own thing so that she can calm down. But she gets so anxious and restless and eager to escape.

I think all pets should be kept indoors especially when it’s been really cold outside. But I don’t know how to help Wonton my dog overcome her fears. She looks so depressed everyday.

:( I wish Wonton was a fatasss that falls for food. She’s the first dog I’ve ever EVER seen that doesn’t care about food and treats.

Answer #2

Is she one of your outside pets??? If so, then she’s simply not comfortable inside…LOTS of outside dogs get very nervous being inside…almost claustrophobic. Just bring her in for a few mintues, several times a day…then let her back out, so she gets comfortable with the “ins” and “outs”…Build up the amount of time she’s in, a tiny bit every other day or so.

I work at a dog kennel so I can totally help you with this 1. Go buy a box of milk bones or whatever treats your dog likes. Then every day go outside call your dog so that she comes 2 you or looks at u. Then say treat. After the dog comes 2 you hold the treat up 2 high 4 her to git then tell her 2 sit. Then say good dog give her the treat and pet her. Do this many times til you just have 2 say treat and she comes running 2 u. Then when she knows what 2 do start moving closer 2 the house. After a while you should just open the door yell treat and not have 2 even take a step out. It will take while but then you can just open the door yell treat and the dog will run right in. If you got any questions then funmail me.
