How to emancipate a pregnant 16 yr old girl in Ohio?
My son 18 from PA has a 16 girlfriend who is 5 mo pregnant from OH and they want to live in PA where he has a job and home her mother says she cannot leave what can they do legally so they can be a family where he can support them and provide a place to live in PA where they both want to be?
Right…so your 18 year old son makes SERIOUS money, yes?
I’m having a hard time believing that, given the current economy. And he lives on his own? So, he makes enough to support himself and TWO other people?
You should have him come here to give advice to others who can barely make ends meet or can’t find work, even with years of experience and job skills.
On the subject of the emancipation, she’s not 18, so, she’s out of luck. She can get a lawyer and take it to family court, but, depending on the laws in Ohio, your son may end up in JAIL for statutory, depending on how old she was when he got busy.

well, I would love to know the answer to this question myself. on account of I am a 16 year old mother with a 19 year old boyfriend who live in ohio and I want to get my child out of this house pronto. my family is emotionally abusive and nonsupport of many of my discussions as a mother. like how literally not even 30 seconds ago my dad is mocking me and being rude for no reason just because I’m on the computer (baby’s napping) and I’m a mom and I shouldn’t be socializing because I’ve “fucked up the rest of my life”. I’ve probably just wasted a little of your time and I’m sorry. but if you find the answer to this then please let me know.
