well you have to prove that you are willing to care and take responsibility over the new puppy but i wouldn’t give up your bunny if you truly don’t want it then you should give it to a family that wants it but don’t get the puppy and not even take care of it.. : 0

every one wants a dog. but things get in the way. your parents may not be able to afford a dog, or maybe think you cant care for one, dogs require a lot of attention and time. some one has to be home to walk and play with it. if price is an issue, offer to adopt from a shelter. that way you are helping your budget and the community. you have to be willing to give up your time, promising to feed and walk the dog, problem free. never even consider getting rid of ur rabbit. its as mucha member of your family as you are.

take very good care of the pets you do have. bring up your grades in school to perfection or close. try to show them how responsible you are. even this might not work. it may turn out your parents can’t afford a dog. there are many costs you don’t tend to think of. for one thing vet bills. it costs hundreds and thousands of dollars for shots and nuetering/spaying. then there is the expense of food. try saving up lots of money to help pay for the puppy. I don’t think saying that you are willing to give up your rabbit to get a puppy helps. it will only convince them that getting a puppy is just something you want now and won’t want later. I’m sure you begged to get that rabbit too. besides. poor rabbit! anyways talk to your parents when you have the money and the responsiblility to take on a puppy.

There’s no sure way to convince them. If they do not want another dog, there might not be any way to convince them. If they are the ones who own the house, it’s their decision. Keep in mind that puppies chew and have accidents. They might not want to deal with that. Your parents would also probably be the ones who would have to pay for collars, leashes, dog food, vet bills, etc. Puppies aren’t all fun and games.

Being willing to give your rabbit away doesn’t necessarily show your parents that you are a responsible pet owner. If you ask for a pet, they get it for you, then you want to give it away the next time you think of something cuter, they might see that as a bad thing.

Your best bet is to find out exactly why your parents don’t want a puppy. If it is the money, for example, it’s possible that they would be willing to get a puppy if you got a job and paid for all his food, toys, medical expenses, etc. However, most of the time when parents don’t want a puppy, it’s for multiple reasons, so don’t count on it being quite that easy.
