HOw to change my dads mind on dancing??

Alright. for years I’ve bin wanting to dance. and I finally decided as im teenaging- that its my passion and desire to learn. Since I dont like any other sports or activness but this! LOL

anyways, my dad loves watching dances adn want me to learn. he says he will bring a tutor over to my house- one problem: ITs too small, there are no space to move around, no wooden floors or mirrors to see yourself!!! and that just drove me more insane.

I told him I will take private lessons for at least 6 months until I move in the summer then I wont take dance class no more!! (yae right! LOL) but he wont change his mind!

its making me really mad. I know I can dance and become better.. but its really hard to cahnge his mind.. and he says he doesnt like the music- how its just you know dirty or whatever HAHA…

So, can you please help me by giving me ideas on what to do and how to change his mind with a good convincing, reasnable explanation?? thank you soo much! :)

hmm, maybe you could ask other places like your school or any place with a big room if you could borrow it to practice dancing when there not using it? mirrors arnt too important, though they would help a lot but a big place with mirrors can cost a lot of money, so really the only places with them are the places were either lots of people go to learn to dance or you practice one on one with thre tutor, but that can be expensivve if theres a dance place like that around your area (you can even ask the tutour when he/she comes over if they know of one) perhaps you could use your pocket money to pay for your own lessons if your dad wont or get a casual job at a fast food resteraunt to make some extra money you could also talk to your dad and ask him what kind of music he thinks is appropriate music to dance to and if he’ll let you take private lessons if you promise to dance to that kind of music you could also ask him to come along in case hes worried or wants to make sure

hmm tough one!I think you shoud save up some money.like do chores etc and try to find a decent studio to go to..or you could also like form a dance crew and go to your local gym and all gyms have a cardio room where like its just this HUGE rom with mirrors and music speakers, and when they gym teachrs rnt teaching you guys kud use it (: or you kud find a good dancer to work with you on some fun routines and stuf (:

Well what I would say is,dad I really really really LOVE dancing and its my passion and I really wanna do it and maybe if I dance for along time it could get me a scholarship or something but if you cared about me then you’ll let me do it because its what I wanna do. Lol I don’t know thats all I can think of to convince him!But yeah like jazzlovestoskate said,if he wont pay money for you to like actually go somewhere to dance and have lessons then save up your own money, babysit, chores, help people,or if you have a job then start saving but you’ll get more better if you have someone telling you on what to work on and how to improve if you go to a dance school, because it really helps a lot lol.Hope I helped.:)

argh. O.o no mirrors!? no room!? I’d definitely go insane. xD you NEED room to dance. or you could get seriously injured… try putting it that way. ahaha. and, also. dance schools will probably have a better environment for you to improve and actually be able to learn to dance. seeing how other students dance and how the teachers/professionals do it should help you improve very much. im kinda confused about your question though… O.o but I tried my best to answer… hahaha. x]
