How do I changes my dad's mind?

I really like cheerleading I did it in elementary and middle school and I really wanted to try out for the high school cheerleading team but my dad said no.. he claims that high school cheerleaders are hoe’s.. I tried to explain to him that cheering is the only thing that keeps me going,it helps me cope with stress and it motovates me to do well in school but he just didnt want to hear it.he dosent listen to anything I have to say..s0o I was thinking should I go behaind his back and try out anyways but I know I would get into alooottt of trouble and a lot of my unlces are on the school football team and they follow my dads every command when it comes to me I dont now what to do I just what to cheer..

Sit down with him and talk. Be mature about it tell him reasons why you think the sport would be good with you. Also tell him how much the team means to you and how much it motivates you. But it sounds like your dad is very stircht so good luck.

He’s going with a Hollywood stereotype. Sit him down and say that you won’t be easy and that you won’t let it effect you.

well going behind you dads back is bad but its you life,your choices and if thats what you wuna do then do it…no they are not hoes there just pple that show school pride or whatever …good luck

You could talk about it to your uncles,maybe they might be able to convince your dad or if not talk about to your mum.
