How to back up sims 2 custom content?
I have a horrid computer virus and the only solution is to wipe m harddrive completely and reinstall Windows. I have over 450 custom content items installed both from The Sims Resource and like 10 from the offcial sims 2 website. Is there any way for me to back up my files so that I can have them back after I reinstall windows?
get a memory stick or back-up hardrive and copy or cut the folder Computer>>>Program Files>>>Electronic Arts>>>The Sims 3>>> Mods and then paste is on your memory stick or back-up. You can also use a DVD to back up the files. I also have my folders saved with all my content zips in so that they are kept in case some of it is lost (lots and patterns need to be reinstalled if they aren’t copy and paste files)
the folder is in your documents folder called EA or electronic arts or EA games..
what ever its called inside 1 of them folders you will have a ‘the sims 2’ folder…
just back up that whole folder ‘the sims 2’:: \my documents\EA games\the sims 2
