Sims 2- My sims keep disappearing. Help

Ok, when I make a new sim, I assign it to a lot, play with it etc- I save the game but every time I “quit” and go back the sim is now no longer there but the house and any changes I have made is. Is there a limit to how many custom sims you can have or something?

I have sims 2 DD, NL, Pets, Seasons, and 1 stuff pack. I also have a ton of custom content but this wasnt happening before, so I dont know that something there would be causing it.

Anyone know what I should do?

same here, it all started when I installed sims seasons. It is so annoying!!! All of the families that I have made have just dissappeared!
