Ways I can improove my running endurance and speed

My coach told me that I will be on the varsity cross contry team next year. However, I’m afraid that I will embaress myself. I ran and exercise everyday, but told be a varsity freshman runner is difficult. And to make it worse, 3 runners qualifies for the reginals. What are some ways I can improove my endurance and speed before next september.

dude dont sweat it its not hard. I was the second best girl on the varsity cross country team and im a freshman. I almost made it to ccs but I was sick the last race. youll be fine just work on hills and sprinting at least 200 yards
