It’s just like it says. They have high amounts of protein, which is a key mineral in muscle growth. Drinking the shakes alone isn’t going to do anything but make you gain weight. It’s working out in addition to drinking the shakes that starts building muscle mass.

Even then, it only works for some people. If your diet is already made up of high protein foods, it probably isn’t going to do that much more for you. But if you don’t get a lot of protein in your daily routine, some 14 oz protein shakes have 25g of protein in them. That’s half of the average person’s daily intake. (That’s a lot, considering 14 oz is only barely bigger than a can of soda.)

Personally, I use muscle milk. It comes in tons of different flavors and it really packs a punch. I always have lots of energy for my workouts. But you’re right, they are expensive, so I’d avoid it unless you’re really serious about bulking up.

Answer #2

yes these protein shakes will work if they say they give you a supply of protein. the protein helps build and repair muscle quicker and I think it increases something else that helps you work harder, therefore faster muscle growth, you also have to drink more water than usual which helps the proteins metabolic rate or something or youll get a buildup of something which aint good, (I cant remember all the names of these things but yes), you also need to actually go to the gym or workout etc to gain the muscle its not just magic.

Answer #3

But you have to work out too.

Say for example you went to the gym half an hour everyday, you would build up muscle averagely and normally, but with the shakes, you will build it up quicker.

Answer #4

Get the protein powder you get from a drug or health store. Get it then you lix it into a drink and it tastes good. My brother and dad used it for awhile and it worked on them.

Answer #5

Drink/eat some before you workout and again afterward. They really do help you build muscle as long as you are also doing strenuous activity (such as weight training).
