How hard is it to have a family while in the military?

I know it must be tough, but anyone with any experience can you tell me how hard it is to keep a family while in the military. Thanx

I just asked my dad and he says that it is so hard, because if you have a wife, and she is giving birth, you won’t be able to be there. Basically your family comes second when your in the military. Also for your family it’s like having a constant worry about them when they’re out there. You will miss out on ALL of the special occasions; first birthdays, everything. But if you want to go for it then do, but beware; most families split up because of the military. g153llexxx

It is very hard! Imagine having someone that you love in the midst of danger.. That’s got to be hard. Especially if you’re wife and children are at home worrying while you’re out fighting. They’ll miss you a lot, and it is likely that many women feel lonely when their husbands are in the military, therefore they cheat (hope that doesn’t happen to you but it’s true). Although if you have a passion for the army then go for it, just beware of the consequences. :)
