Who here thinks the military has gotten harder to get into than it was back in the 80's and 90's?
I know I had a brother -n- law that had to work really hard to get in, but me I went and signed up, the next day almost off I went.
In my opinion, it is just as easy to get in as it used to be, however fewer people can now meet the physical selection criteria as a result of lower levels of fitness and higher levels of obesity. .

True, I did not take this in to account, most the people I knew back then where at the bottom of the weight requirement.
People learn from mistakes, including military. Way back few years ago, anyone could be accepted in military, specially when the country needed more soldiers so badly. More incidents, more lessons, they srart making the standards, height, weight, and must be added now is intelligence.
