How does toothpaste prevent pimples?

I know a lot of people say it works when you use it over night, but what does it do? And how do you get it to stay on your face and not rub on your pillow?

Answer #1

Not familiar with how or if it works, but you can keep it in place with a band-aid and not smear..

When I used toothpaste on my pimples it caused my skin to burn and caused scabs to form. Love, Cayla

Answer #3

it just dries up the skin so it makes it smaller as well.. thats all it does… it doesnt really help prevent it or anything.,

Answer #4

all toothpaste does is dry out your pimples to reduce the size, it doesn’t prevent pimples, but washing your face everyday does.

Answer #5

If you use paste (not gel), it just dries up on the face, it doesn’t get on the pillow. All you need is a little dab to cover the area, go to sleep lying on your back and it’ll be dry by the time you put your face in the pillow.

I don’t know why it works. Like I said before, my dad says it “suffocates” and dries out the pimple. Just try it! If you’re that concerened about it, then put a bandaid over it.

I just put toothpaste on my pimples im leaving it on for two hours…I’ve used it before…the chemicals in it drys out the pimples…and depending on the toothepaste you use depends on wether it works or not and the effect is has on your skin…your skin varies from other peoples skin so it will probably work different from everyone else…if it burns your skin dont leave it on to long because it might cause your skin damage…if your skin is red around the toothpaste you need to take it off…luv ya bunches…whit
