Does Erythromycin work to prevent pimples?

im studying at a medical school and they say it’s an antibiotic, though it’s an antibiotic but is it liable?

I think the use of any antibiotic will help with acne in some forms after all antibiotics kill bacteria most pimples are caused by eiter blocked pores or bacteria
