How does an alto reach soprano?

I’m an alto and I really want to learn how to sing soprano, I can reach some of the the high notes, but my voice cracks really badly. Is their any way I can fix this? Also my reason for this is because I want to sing opera..

Alto’s can sing soprano- just work on it. practice dailey and do some warm ups Make sure your not afraid of high notes. Last year I was a second alto, now I’m soprano one!

It’s very hard to change the tone of your voice being an alto or soprano isn’t from trying to sing good or not it’s how high or low your voice is but if you really wanna try and get it high all you can do is try to hit higher notes and keep doin it till it sounds good and comes natural to you but its a hard thing to do …

Um (I am a horrific singer but my teacher told me to do this) Like work through it. Keep practicing and like you lift yourself and smile (sorry I cant member the word) Think positivly and just keep working at it. (Im sure you will get better answers from better singers)
