I have written some poems before and so far, this is my most favorite. I dont know why. I especially like the last 4 lines. What do you think this poem means? I seem to write poems of similar topic. this is kinda like the one I posted here before.

  • it seems like a stanza is lacking, but I can't think of any other stanza to fill it up. the inspiration has passed (I made it years ago haha). Constructive comments appreciated.

you are my cain

and it's melting again. how a part of you lights up my fire. these small bursts of ecstasy fill me. though I know in a glimpse I'll come undone. fill me. feel me. how you make longing an insatiable need.

these ruins lay witness to the sin I willingly devour. how I know too much will never be enough. but you're hard to resist, your poison tastes sweet. how your open fire consumes me. how these wounds make me free.

these lips cry I'm the one to blame. I keep holding on to this broken flask where my blood coalesced with yours. we lay here as one, quiet, both vulnerable. I can tear you apart. but I didn't. I only took a part of you. how with every drip you consume me. how you fill me up empty.

you are my cain how you breathe me unto your fire. slowly, I come, willingly to this pain tangled lie.
