How do you conovince your parents from smoking?

My parents are stressed and I understand that, but a few months ago me and my mom made a deal that if I lost weight she would quit smoking, well I’ve lost 15 pounds and she actually has began smoking more. My dad spends all his left over money (after paying bills) on tobacco and filters then makes me roll them. My parents are irrational and won’t listen to reason and I’m afraid that if they don’t stop I’ll end up losing them. I think that cigarettes make them mean and more stressed but they won’t listen to me at all. Can any one help me? Because this is upsetting because this is a second consecutive year that me and my family can’t afford to celebrate Christmas because of the spike in tobacco prices…

Talk to them or try to get some help for them. Smoking can be perty bad adicted and sometimes it gets so bad it increases more and more becuase of how it gets.

Ty talking to them and letting them know how you feel about all the feeling you are having and how you are affraid of some things and also because you made a deal and you feel betrayed.

Also try finding a place were they can go so they can quit. You have to keep traing so they can quit don’t give up on them because they need help and they need someone to sopport them.

Tell them that it hurts you to see them smoke and that effects the whole family when they do it. There is also an group called BACODA that helps students and someone in their family with addiction to drugs and alchocol. Visit www.bacoda.com. Maybe they can help
