You just have to ignore what she’s saying to you. I know it can be hard… something that will help you loose a lot of weight is to stop drinking anything but WATER or seltzer water. If its not one of the two DONT DRINK IT! Stop eating late @ night. Try to eat 5 small meals a day rather then three big ones. Just try to eat healther things.. and let your mom know how you feel! Tell her that you REALLY want to loose weight and when she says those things to you it makes you feel like eating. Just be honest. Another important thing to do is try and walk as much as possiable! Good luck and dont be so hard on yourself.

Congrats on losing 10 pounds!

Running is your best friend! You can run/walk around your neighborhood, walk for 5 minutes, then run for 1 minute. Pretty soon you will be running for 10 minutes and walking for 5 minutes!

Martial arts is a great way to lose weight, I know from experience. I love training and it keeps me in shape. Jogging all day can get very boring, but with martial arts your always learning something new, there is always another goal to achieve. Take Kung -Fu for example, not only will you strengthen your muscles and learn how to defend your self, but you will also be stretching the first 25 minutes of every class.

Its not as easy as it sounds, but you’ve already lost 10 pounds and that’s an accomplishment! Stay positive and if you need anything my email is aktimes@gmail.com !

Drink lots of water, and, always eat breakfast. Eating breakfast gets your metabolism started and actually helps you lose weight.

You didn’t gain all this weight “fast”, so don’t expect to lose it fast. By losing it slowly and consistently you will be more likely to keep it off.

Check yourself out at the bmi calculator below to see where you stand. Then set yourself REALISTIC goals for a week, 2 weeks, a month, 3 months, 6 months and a year. As you see yourself accomplishing the goals you will be more inclined to persevere.   bmi calculator:

Info if you are trying to lose weight:

“How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?”   One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.
