How do I tell my dad about my older boyfriend?

I’m 19 years old (20 next month) and I have a boyfriend who is 44. I did not go looking for this relationship it just happened. I know some people see this as “morally wrong”, but I feel if we are happy together than our ages shouldn’t matter. I understand that in 20 years from now he’ll be in his 60’s when I’m only in my 40’s, but he is young at heart and I couldn’t ask for someone more perfect for me.

So, my question is; how do I tell my dad about my boyfriend who is older than he is?

I have been seeing him for 6 months now and I believe he’s the one for me. My mom’s side of the family knows and doesn’t approve of the age difference, but agrees he is a very successful, responsible, respectful guy. I’m just afraid of my dad disowning me. If anyone has any ideas, please help.

That is wrong. Ew was my reaction, though it’s pretty immature to straight-out say it. Age does still matter after you’re 18. Also keep in mind that most relationships with significant age differences end badly.

nothing wrong with age if you are over 18 its your life!its hard to find someone good nowadays so if your happy and he is happy thats all that matters!
