How do I tell my coach I can't do everything at practises tomorrow?

So tomorrow I get to go back too practsing for softball. I have a back injury but I’m good enough too play now, ill just be a little soar. I’m aloud to pitch gently, field balls, slide and run but no hitting. Because I don’t want too be twisting my back, but how do I tell my coach this ?! Should I do it at the beginning with teamates around or just me and him!? Help please!? I’m kinda nervous, but he’s a good coach and all.

Hey I play softball too and have a knee injury. umm…I thnk you need to talkk to your coach alone. you don’t wanna embarass urself in frnt of your team. im sure he will be understanding!!! I wish you luk for real:) hope you fully recover:)!!!

Awwwh thanks soo much, and I hope your knee injury heals good. My team is already falling apart, I have a bad back, another pitcher has stress factors in her foot and the 3rd one got diagnoised with something in her spine and 2 catchers are already injuried so it should be an interesting year.

If he’s a coach worth his salt then he wouldn’t want you to push yourself too hard and cause more injury before you’re ready. If you are re-injured you will be no good to the team after all. So just pull him aside at the beginning of practice and explain what your doctor has told you and that you want to be able to get better so that you can help the team.
