How about saying you don’t want to go? It’s honest, and if she’s your friend, she’ll respect that.

Tell her the truth. Just simply say, ‘I’m not in the mood for swimming. Or say, Can we go some other time?’

Say that you dont feel like it, be honest. if that will cause problems say your mum wont let you or you cant because of ‘girl problems’ lol

you could say your on your period + hate using tampons. or just be straight up + honest about it, you could ask to do something else instead.
