How do I talk with my mom in private w/o her telling my stepdad?
I can never have a private canversation with my mom because everything I tell her she tells my stepdad, even thoough I tell her not to. My stepdad is a retired military captain and so he’s really harsh.
How do I talk with my mom in private w/o her telling my stepdad?
Tell her that it would really mean a lot to you if she kept in between just you and her, and that it is really important to you, and that it means a lot to you, maybe exaggerate a bit to make her realise that you are really serious.

If she always tells your step-date than obviously you cant talk to her, that’s sad really. You could try explaining to her that there are some things you’d like to keep between you and her, but that probably wont work. My parents are the same way. Maybe you could find another adult you can trust to talk to things about (an aunt, a best friend, a sibling, a grandparent, a teacher, etc.)
