How do I stop picking the ends of my shirt?

pick the ends of my shirt and chew on the colar of my shirt. I need help getting rid of this because most of my shirts are either destroyed or will soon be destroyed??? (sometimes I accidently eat the string too)

My son used to do that and I found out he had a sensory disorder. It’s not like a disease really, it just means one or more of your senses - touch for example- receives stronger or less strong signals than most people. I would suggest you look up info on sensory integration disorder. There are other explanations, but this way you can at least see how other people deal with it. In my son’s case, they substituted something else to stimulate his tactile nerves and his clothes are no longer damaged :-)

tell the people around you to kick you in the shin every time you do it. your mind will associate chewing your shirt with intense and sudden pain, and you will stop it very quickly.

try chewing gum,instead or simply eat some food before putting your shirt on,then will not feel hungry and need to chew on the colar lol!!!
