How do I (delecately) tell my parents I'm getting married?

I’ve been engaged for about a year now, and I’ve been with my fiance for almost 3 years. He and I have known each other since we were freshmen in high school. My parents aren’t crazy about him. He and I are currently living together. I haven’t told them about the engagement and I’m not sure how they would take it. I would love my mom’s help with planning the wedding (she and my dad are the only ones married in my family. None of my aunts and uncles got married.) so shes the only one that can help me. I want to get married soon. This has been bothering me since my fiance popped the question.

I would just tell her. It’s your life and you should be able to marry who ever you want.
