How can I stop worrying about every single thing?

I am constantly worrying about everything. If someone says something, I can’t stop thinking about it and I overanalyze it. So, if I start to think there is a small problem, I keep thinking about it and it turns into a huge deal..all in my head even when the problem doesn’t exist. My worrying and overanalyzing is affecting my friendships and relationships with people. How can I stop worrying about every single thing? How can I stop making up problems in my head??

Have you thought of seeing a therapist? Your problem sounds symptomatic of anxiety disorder, often called General Anxiety Disorder or GAD. A therapist will help you work through your anxiety and even help you by prescribing medication if necessary.

Personally, everyone handles every situation differently. That’s the whole part of being a human. You should take a breather…keep yourself occupied every time you start thinking about something that you know that you will get or be worried about…it works. Keeping your mind busy lessens the stress.
