How can I keep my three year old in bed all night?

I have a three year old daughter who used to sleep through the night up until a few months ago. We have her in a toddler bed, which is easy access for her it get up and come into my husband and my room. She can go to sleep okay but gets ups several times a night for random things. Wants a drink, wants a hug, wants something to eat, wants to watch tv. We always tell her no and coax her back to bed which she goes but a few hours later it will be something else. My husband and I are getting real good sleep and my daughter is a cranky pants in the morning when it’s time to get up for school. I know it’s because she hasn’t had enough sleep, but we don’t know what we can do to keep her asleep. Any help would be much appreciated.

be firm… I am a child and youth worker and I get these kind of questions all the time… every time you child gets up you take her straight back to bed… and you may have to do this 50 times a night. have a structured bed time routine… this lets her know that bed time is coming…have a glass of water at her bed side. afer a few days your family as a whole, should be sleepng through the night. Remember you are a capable parent you kow what is best and never give up or give in…hope this helps.

well I have four lil ones ..and I had that problem wit my 5 year old …he wasnt feeling complete colsure to the night ,,, so what I had to start doing way make a pattern that went on every night before bed.. I would give notice that it was 10 min. til bed time,,then 5 mins to bed” lets brush are teeth, let go potty, okay story time read one book while laying with her or right down to her level so she can feel that extra safe feeling then after story say somthing that you would like to say every night ( me I sang you are my sunshine) then I tell him give me a night night kiss,, and thats it bed time is done!! it worked for me .. but try something simular that works for you anr her personality.. good luck ..let me know how it goes>>>

Watch supernanny :D ,, My little brother does that ,, we found ot a while ago he was sleep walking ,, just don’t keep giving her what she wants ,, then after a while she’ll realise that there’s no point in getting up ,, and don’t keep talking to her about it at night ,, say no and bring her back to bed x
